If you are searching for a blogging course, it means that you want to get serious about blogging. And I want to congratulate you for taking the initiative to at least starting your blog.

Now, should you invest in a blogging course?

Well, if you have the money and want to speed up your learning process, then for sure buy a blogging course. If you have enough time, then you will find all your answers on the web.

That being said, if you really want to buy a course, you will need only 2 types of courses:

  1. A course that will help you launch your blog, target the right keywords and create good content.
  2. A Pinterest course that will help you generate free blog traffic.

The thing with blogging is: It will take time to get organic traffic from Google. Therefore using Pinterest as a source of targeted traffic is really crucial in the beginning.

Before we get started, here are some blogging stats that are really important:

Blogging stats:

Blog statistics 2021

As you can clearly see, there are many blogs on the web right now. With so many people creating their blogs, it has become more difficult to build a successful online business.

But it doesn’t mean you cannot do it. I will show you how to approach blogging the right way in the end.

For now, let’s see how much bloggers are earning:

Bloggers earnings

Problogger found that almost 70% of bloggers are earning less than $500 per month.

Here are some interesting stats:

  • 24.2% are earning between $10-$99
  • 17.2% are earning between $100-$499
  • 6.1% are earning between $50-$999
  • 7.1% are earning between $1,000-$2,499
  • 3% are earning between $2,5000-$4,999
  • 10.1% are earning more than $15,000

That being said, let’s see some benefits of buying a blogging course.

Advantages of buying a blogging course

1.Cut down the steep learning curve

Anyone who starts a blog must go through a steep learning curve to understand how things work. Now, those who cannot buy a course will need to do a lot of research. And it is really time-consuming to search for answers on the web. I started this blog by doing a lot of research and reading a few books which I got for free, so I know how hard it is.

On the other hand, if you can afford to buy a course, you will be able to skip all those steps. You will know exactly which plugins to use, how to format your content, which keywords to target and how to monetize your blog.

Having this kind of information will really speed up your learning process exponentially.

This can actually help you to save at least 3-4 months of research.

If you want traffic really fast then a course on Pinterest will save you around 6-8 months. You will learn exactly how to set up your Pinterest profile, create viral pins and how to use keywords to increase your engagements significantly.

2.You will get the blueprint of their blogging journey

Getting the blueprint of a successful blogger can really change your perspective about blogging. You will know exactly how they approached blogging and what strategies they are using to earn a full-time income.

You will learn all the blogging mistakes that they made which will prevent you from making those mistakes.

Here is the deal:

Whatever worked for them doesn’t really mean will work for you. You can learn everything from them, but in the end, you must create your own path based on your personality.

Never try to COPY everything that they did. You will never get the desired results if you are just copying everything.

Always try to find a solution that’s best for YOU.

3.You will get access to their community

There are a lot of course creators who make Facebook groups that are for members only which can be really valuable to enhance your learning. Also, some have private forums where you will get answers for every problem that you are having during your blogging journey.

This is really helpful to get help and connect with new bloggers.

There can be huge opportunities where you will get to know like-minded people who will be happy to exchange resources and maybe some backlinks.

Who knows maybe you can find your life partner.😏

Disadvantages of buying a blogging course

1.Blogging courses are expensive

Some blogging courses cost around $1,000. This is a lot of money for a course. Based on my experience, if a blogging course is more than $300, you should not buy it.

There are far too many people who market their courses in such a way that seems they can help you get a full-time income in less than 3 months.

You should understand that no one can help you achieve that kind of result in 3 months.

The problem is that there is way too much information about instant riches on the web. And the truth is people actually believe they can make $10,000 in just a few months.

This belief has only helped people to sell stupid courses at a very high price. Most of the time you will notice that: The more expensive a course is, the more you are being fooled.

Learn this now: Your blog needs to be at least 1 year old before you start to get some serious traffic.

For instance, if you started your blog in January, your organic traffic will look like this:

organic traffic for first year of blogging

This is the usual trend for MOST bloggers. It doesn’t mean you will only get 5,000 monthly visitors from Google. Depending on the number of posts you have and how much promotion you are doing, you can reach up to 20,000 in the first year.

Someone who has created 100 blog posts in 1 year will get way more traffic than someone who just has 50 blog posts.

2.The course that you buy will be only relevant for a limited time

If you come across a course that is $20, for sure you can buy it. But you need to know that you must be really committed to your blog for at least 2 years to reap its full benefits.

Even if you buy a Pinterest course, you must understand that the algorithm keeps on changing and you must adapt to every change.

So, what about an SEO course?

Well, I don’t think you really need to buy an SEO course. Google algorithm changes way too much. It’s better to read blogs like Search Engine Journal where you will get all the updates that you will ever need.

That being said, if you are not interested in buying a course, there are alternatives that you can consider:

Alternatives to blogging courses

1.Google

There is far too much information available on Google. You can just find anything you want. People are building sustainable businesses just by reading blog posts.

Trust me.

Google is really very smart. These algorithm changes are here to help users to get the BEST content.

2.Youtube

I can still remember when I started my local business, I was watching a lot of youtube videos. Youtube has helped me to build a sustainable local business where I can work only a few days and earn enough to live a comfortable life.

I still watch a lot of youtube videos. But right now, I am trying to learn everything I can to build a profitable online business.

If you are looking for a youtube channel that will help you, I will recommend Income School. They have awesome resources that will help you earn a full-time income in just 2 years.

3.Skillshare

Skillshare is a platform where you will find a lot of free courses. To learn the basics, these free courses will be enough. Now to get access to more advanced stuff, you will need to sign-up for a mere $10 per month.

Final thoughts: Are blogging course worth it

Before you buy any course, you should understand that blogging is a venture that takes time. If you can only work for 1 year without expecting ANY income, you will succeed.

The most obvious reason why almost 95% of bloggers fail is that they don’t have enough patience and have unrealistic expectations about their blogs.

The most successful blogs you see out there, have earned pennies for many months before their blog started to get massive traction.

You can buy only 2 courses: One for your blog and the other for Pinterest traffic.

That’s all you need to build a successful blog.

See you soon!
