So you are thinking to start your blog, but you are confused about whether to use your face or not. It’s frustrating when you feel lost and doesn’t know how to approach blogging.
So, can you start a SUCCESSFUL blog without using your face?
Of course, you can. Many bloggers are earning a full-time income with their blogs without showing their faces. So, if you want to blog anonymously, it’s better to start a niche site.
When you are deciding to create a blog, your main priority should be to create valuable content that will solve people’s problems.
If you want to remain anonymous, then maybe building a niche website will be a better option.
However, if you are creating a brand or a personal blog, you will need to have a profile picture so that people can trust you more. For a personal blog, trust is very important.
For a niche site, you can easily get away with being anonymous. But, one thing is crucial when you start your niche site. You must use the right blogging strategy to be able to generate income.
This is why if you use my blogging strategy, you will be able to make money even if you are not using any profile picture on your blog.
One important aspect of being anonymous is that you have the freedom to write what you like and you can be more transparent.
Having the freedom to express your thought will make your content better which can help you stand out from the crowd.
That being said, let’s see how you can start your blogging journey anonymously.

how to blog without showing your face
1. Choose your niche wisely
As I have mentioned above, if you want to blog anonymously, you will need to start a niche website.
But, make sure that you have at least a little interest in your niche. Don’t choose a niche just because it has the potential to make you a lot of money.
Here is what your ideal niche will look like:

Now, if you are really confused about your niche you can choose a BROAD domain name that can accommodate a few sub-niches.
For example, the name of this blog is Viableblog. I didn’t name it after anything that directly indicates that this blog is all about blogging.
So why I did do this?
It’s simple. I didn’t know which niche will be better suited for me in the beginning. By choosing a broad domain name, I had the flexibility to write about a few topics and see which one Google preferred.
The thing with having a blog is: When you are creating content for a few broad topics, there will be usually 2 topics that will outperform all the other topics.
Once you know which 2 topics are performing really well, a smart way to continue blogging is to write everything that you can on those 2 topics.
This will ensure that you are slowly building momentum in the right direction and sooner or later your blog WILL grow exponentially.
It can take a few months, 12 months, 18 months, or maybe 36 months before your blog reaches its peak.
That’s why it’s vital to have a minimum interest level in your niche which will guarantee you can write articles for a few years.

Now that you have already set up your blog, it’s time for the most important thing.
And that is to choose the right strategy for your blogging journey.
Look, I will be very transparent with you. Blogging demands focused attention and time.
But, it doesn’t mean that it is difficult to become a successful blogger.
Since focused attention and time are the most valuable assets in blogging, you MUST use them wisely.
What do I mean by focused attention?
Well, if you are serious about blogging, you need just 6 months of focused attention to create enough momentum.
Focused attention means that in those 6 months, all thoughts and actions should be geared toward creating content for your blog.
During this time frame, all other things become secondary.
Every day, your blog becomes your priority. All your free time should be dedicated to your blog.
I know it sounds a bit awkward, but those 6 months will be enough for you to know if blogging is meant for you.
If you can do it for 6 months, then surely blogging is a venture you should pursue.
Why I am saying 6 months?
It’s because most new blogger gives up before 6 months and many can make $1,000 per month.
It all boils down to the amount of effort you put in.
That being said, the best strategy for a niche site is to target keywords with low search volumes and competition and to create as much content as you can.
So, if you are someone who has limited time and can dedicate only 1-2 hours per day to blogging, then you should follow this blogging strategy.

Frequently asked questions for niche sitesĀ and anonymous blogs
1. How many articles should you publish?
Ideally, a blog that has more than 400 blog posts tends to perform at its peak potential.
A blog that has already reached 400 blog posts, will rank for a lot of keywords and will bring a lot of traffic.
It usually works like this:
- 50 articles will get you a little money and a little traffic
- 100 articles will get you more money and much more traffic
- 400 articles will get you the maximum money and traffic
Usually, once a blog has reached 400 blog posts, it will generate around 11,000 visits per day.
That is 330,000 monthly visits.
With 330,000 monthly visits:
You can make: (330 x 25)= $ 8,250 with ADS only. Given that your average RPM is 25, which you can get with ezoic.
SPECIAL NOTE: When it comes to making money with ads, EZOIC is the best option for new bloggers. This is because it has no minimum traffic requirement and new websites will get the highest RPM. Create your Ezoic account now, and start to make money with ads.
2. Is it important to reach 400 articles?
No, it is not necessary.
But you will have to reach your first 50 articles as soon as possible. This is where you will start to see some momentum.
Reaching 50 articles is really important if you want Google to recognize you as an authority website.
Also with 50 articles, you can start to make $1,000 per month if you are using Pinterest.
3. How long it takes to make money with this blogging strategy?
I really cannot give you an exact answer as both quality and quantity play an important part in earning a significant amount of money.
If you are constantly publishing 2-3 articles per week, you can easily earn between $1,000 up to $5,000 in the first year.
This is the usual trend for a new blog:
Year | Number Of Articles | Potential Earnings Per Month |
1 | 144 | $1,000- $10,000 |
2 | 288 | $10,000-$30,000 |
