How To Make Money On TikTok Without Showing Your Face

This blog post can contain affiliate links. This means that, at no additional cost to you, I may receive a commission if you click through and make a purchase. Please note that I only recommend products and services that I personally use and trust.

If you are looking for ways to make money on TikTok without showing your face, then you are at the right place.

Since TikTok is a new platform, it provides many opportunities for anyone who wants to make money from home.

Here are some stats that will help you understand the real potential of TikTok:

According to SEO design Chicago, TikTokers who have at least 100,000 followers make anywhere between $200 – $1,000 per month.

And those who have more than 1 Million followers make anywhere between $1,000 up to $5,000 per month.

Now, I am sure you must be wondering how you can make money on TikTok without showing your face, right?

Well, here are 11 smart ways to get started to make money on the platform:

1. You can sell products through TikTok shopping

tiktok shopping

To enable companies to sell things directly on the platform—and stop sending customers elsewhere to do so—TikTok created TikTok Shopping in 2021.

TikTok Shopping gives your profile a shopping tab so viewers may view items from your Shopify catalog. To direct readers to your business, you can also tag your items in the material you post.

Do not be timid. Tell your audience about your products. Try not to be excessively commercial, but keep in mind to sometimes mention your TikTok business.

2. Become an affiliate marketer

To generate money on TikTok, you don’t need to provide your own goods and services.

You can use affiliate marketing as a substitute to connect to different products and earn a percentage of each transaction when a user clicks through and makes a purchase.

This is how you can get started:

  • Place an affiliate link in your profile—then direct traffic from your organic views to click the link.
  • Redirect traffic to your Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest account where you can place your affiliate links to boost your sales.
  • Paste coupon codes and URLs in your video descriptions. Users will have to copy/paste the link into their browser.

3. promote Songs

promote songs

Did you know that you can earn money by including music in your videos?

On TikTok, almost every video contains a background song that the makers can lip sync and dance to, and musicians are aware of the significance of this.

Musicians will pay you if you have a sizable fan base and level of engagement to advertise their music in your tracks.

They are aware that if your video goes viral, their song will too, which will increase sales of merchandise, concert tickets, and downloads.

You may use TikTok to market your own music if you are (or want to become) a musician. Since TikTok is a platform for dancing and singing, posting your own beats there simply makes sense.

4. Use TikTok ads to drive sales

Traffic is the lifeblood of any online business.

So if you are someone who has a website, e-commerce store, or even a TikTok shopping tab, you can leverage the traffic to drive more sales.

To increase your TikTok following, you might run in-feed picture advertisements promoting your items or use TopView commercials (fullscreen takeovers) creatively. Both options can help you monetize the network.

As a top-of-funnel tool, TikTok may also be used to encourage consumers to subscribe to your email list or SMS marketing.

This method can protect your TikTok account from coming out as overly salesy while still being a powerful cash generator.

5. Become a brand ambassador

Similar to sponsored content, brand ambassadors serve as a resource for a longer period rather than just for a single piece.

As a brand ambassador, you will probably get paid and free merchandise in return for a set number of videos each week or month. Your brand ambassador arrangement gets sweeter the better your content does.

Find the brands you adore. The ideal situation is to discover a brand that enables you to grow your network, obtain equipment that you genuinely enjoy, earn money, and have fun.

Check your favorite brands’ websites to see if they have any alluring programs because most companies have unique ambassador application pages there.

6. Join TikTok’s Creator Fund

The TikTok Creator Fund is the platform’s initiative to reward users for producing interesting content. TikTok rewards you more the more people watch your videos.

TikTok pays producers that contribute to their goal of keeping people on the platform (so they can earn money from advertising).

To join the Creator Fund, you must have received at least 100K video views in the last 30 days. Since it’s still a new concept for TikTok, be prepared to watch the program develop over the next months and years.

7. Start your Patreon account

Provide free material on your TikTok account while encouraging your followers to donate to your Patreon campaign to access premium content. This might be:

  • Behind-the-scenes peeks
  • Exclusive content
  • SWAG
  • Personal time with you
  • Live chats and hangouts
  • Community access
  • Public shoutouts

Be imaginative. Once you gain a dedicated following, they’ll want anything and everything from you.

Just make sure you take the time to create relevant and worthwhile Patreon material since you don’t want anyone to end up regretting their investment.

8. Publish Sponsored Posts

You will be compensated by brands to promote their goods and services; this is known as sponsored content.

You don’t have to have a monopolistic impact to participate. Even if the network of a micro-influencer is small, smaller firms will still pay top dollar to collaborate with them (yet).

You may reach out to brands on your own or wait for them to contact you. You may apply to join the TikTok Creator Marketplace, a platform that links well-paying companies with popular artists if you have more than 100,000 followers and 100,000 video likes in the last 28 days.

9. Leverage your freelancing business

TikTok may be a great platform for growing your consultancy or freelance business.

Create an audience by publishing interesting material, and then advertise your products or services. You could need to assist a follower, or a customer might come to you through word of mouth.

If you make a living creating logos, showcase some of your work on TikTok. If you’re an email marketing consultant, share some of your creative campaigns.

You can use your imagination to make any industry on TikTok fascinating, from plumbing to accountancy to software. The point of TikTok is to have fun and let your individuality shine through.

10. Work with Influencers

To generate money on TikTok, you don’t need a sizable following; all you need to do is tap into the creative talent that has already put in the effort to cultivate devoted viewers.

To advertise your TikTok account or support your items, collaborate with influencers.

Your company might succeed or fail with a single shoutout from the appropriate individual. Do you recall when Elon Musk drove the price of Dogecoin up by 600% in only one week? That is a prime instance of unintentional influencer marketing.

11. Raise Money Through Crowdfunding

People adore taking part in crowdfunding projects, whether they are sponsoring a cause on GoFundMe or your idea on Kickstarter. North America contributed $17.2 billion in crowdfunding in 2021 alone.

Additionally, the success rate is respectable. When you consider that just 10% of firms are successful, the average success rate of crowdfunding campaigns is a staggering 22.4%, which isn’t terrible at all.

When feasible, we advise starting a crowdfunding campaign for the content of your TikTok account. It’s odd when a horse-loving profile uses Kickstarter to solicit funding for a ground-breaking new board game.

However, almost any company may help individuals in need by raising money. For instance, even if your account is dedicated to lip-syncing country music, no one will criticize your brand for attempting to generate money for an orphanage.

Frequently Asked Questions About TikTok Money-Making

How many followers do you need to have on TikTok to make money?

Zero, technically. Through influencer marketing and TikTok advertisements, you might have zero followers and yet drive traffic to your eCommerce site.

You must have at least 10,000 followers, though, if you wish to get paid directly from TikTok through their Creator Fund.

How many views do you need on TikTok to make money?

Another excellent query. Again, you don’t need any to profit from the platform, but you do need a minimum quantity of views to take part in certain of TikTok’s initiatives and obtain access to special features.

To join TikTok’s Creator Fund, for instance, you must have had at least 100,000 video views in the past 30 days.

  1. Awesome post, Girish. My TikTok account has over 20,000 followers (and growing), and no one has ever seen my face.

In my case, the account is about showing music video snippets, and many of those sounds have been used by other TikTokers (which in turn, helps my account keep growing).

All in all, you don’t really need to show your face as long as you provide anything of quality. You can ultimately become just as brandable and recognizable as someone who does show their face 🙂

    Thanks for the article,
